Marie T O Neill Marie T O Neill

Marie T O Neill comes from Clogh Handball Club, her brother John Paul got her involved in Handball in 2000 with Billy Love as her trainer. Her favourite handballer is Ducksy Walsh, her toughest opponent is fellow club person Claire Love, her best moment in handball was winning the World title in 2003. Advice she gives to kids is practise with both hands all the time.

William Love William Love

William Love is from Clogh Handball Club and started playing handball in 1990 with his Dad Billy and Tom Comerford as coaches. His favourite player is Eoin Kennedy, with fellow clubman and brother Daniel Love as his toughest opponent. His best memory in handball was winning the All Ireland 60x30 Junior Doubles with brother Daniel. Advice he’d give to kids is keep practicing your shots with both hands and enjoy the game.

Eoghan Hennesy Eoghan Hennesy

Eoghan Hennessy plays for Clogh Handball Club. He started playing handball at 10 years of age to see what it was like to play handball. His favourite players are fellow Clogh players Padraig and Ciaran Cooney. His toughest opponent is Keith Bourke. Best moment so far in handball is winning

Andrew Lawlor Andrew Lawlor

Andrew Lawlor is a member of Clogh Handball Club. He started handball at the age of 5 with his Dad Ned and Billy Love. His most memorable moment was winning the All Ireland Junior B team as this team had been beaten in the All Ireland Final the previous year.His favourite player is Paul Brady in 40x20 and Eoin Kennedy in 60x30. His hardest opponent is Billy Bourke. Advice Andrew would give to children is train hard and always listen to your coach.

Andrew has numerous county titles in 40x20 and 60x30 for Juvenile and Adult level.

Eoin Doyle Eoin Doyle

Eoin Doyle comes from Clogh Handball Club. He started handball when he was 7 years of age on a Sunday morning with Billy Love, his father John got him involved as John played handball and won numerous titles for the club. Eoin now trains under the guidance of Brendan Hosey. His favourite player is Eoin Kennedy and toughest opponent is Adrian Farrell. Most memorable moment so far is winning the county 40x20 U14D and U15D in a row. Worst moment so far was losing the Leinster Final U14D 15-14 after been 14-6 up in the 3rd game and getting in 3 times to serve the match to Wexford who were eventual All Ireland winners.

Padraig and Ciaran Cooney Padraig and Ciaran Cooney

Brothers Padraig And Ciaran Cooney from Clogh Handball Club. Padraig started playing handball at the age of 7 and Ciaran started at the age of 5. They both started with Billy Love and their Uncle Brendan Hosey.

Favourite player: Padraig’s is 40x20 Paul Brady and 60x30 Eoin Kennedy, Ciaran’s is Paul Brady.

Toughest Opponent for Padraig is Sean Carey Goresbridge and Ciaran’s is Mikie Carey Goresbridge.

Most memorable moment: For Padraig is winning the feile last year with my brother on the team. Ciaran’s is winning the feile two years in a row.

Other Sport they play: Padraig – hurling, football, golf and Ciaran – hurling

Ambition: Padraig – to play Senior handball and Ciaran – to be a top senior handballer and to win the 13 and under singles at the world next year.

Padraig attends Castlecomer Community School and Ciaran attends St. Patricks National School, Clogh.

Favourite TV Show: Padraig-any Lee Evans programs. Ciaran - Soccer A.M.

Favourite film: Padraig- All the Rocky Films and The Longest Yard. Ciaran – Dumb and Dumber.

Favourite Music: Padraig – Pop. Ciaran – RnB, Hip Hop and Rap.

Favourite Food: Padraig – Chocolate, Chips and Fruit. Ciaran – Chinese

Favourite pastime: Padraig – Playing Golf. Ciaran – Swimming and playing golf.

Country most like to visit: Both would like to visit America.
