The eddie somers competition was won by John and Oliver Ryan who beat Andrew Dowling and Bourke in the Cup Final. The Shilel Final was was won by Philly Parsons and JJ English who beat the Purcell brothers from Windgap

Presentation Night 2012
Clogh handball Club held their annual presentation night on saturday evening. the Cub made presentatios to our all Ireland and World medal winners. Presentations were made for the Florry McCarthy juvenile tournament. This has proveed to be one of the most popular tournaments in the club with all the juveniles in the club participating. World Champion World Champion

William Love is Mens C World Champion. The mens C grade was one of the most competitive competitions in the World Championship, with over 170 players taking part. William showed his skill, determination and stamina to become the world number one in this grade. In the final he beat fellow Kilkenny man Brendan Bourke. Congratulations to William on this fantastic achievement.

The Clogh u15/16 Boys tournament semifinals and final were played on Monday evening in Clogh. In the first semifinal Padraig Cooney played some wonderful handball and brought the semi-final to the third game.John Walshe (Mulinavat) proved too strong and won the tie break.(15-7,12-15,15-8) The second Semifinal saw JJ English (Goresbridge) take a 12-1 lead in first game, however Brian Mahon fought back but lost 15-13, the second and third games were a different affair with Brian playing better handball and winning 15-4,15-4.In the final both players played brillant handball but John proved too strong and won 15-13,15-9

Shane Dunne won the feile 60x30 skills competition in dublin

The Boys Division 1 60* 30 feile team reached the final of the feile team competition. The team had put in great performances to reach the final where they faced opposition from Broadford.In the final the first Clogh pair of Shane and Aiden won the first match and carried a 5 point lead into the second game. However Broadfords second pair were very strong and overcame the Clogh pairing of Mark and Ciaran to win the match buy a few points. Well done lads this was a great performance.

Feile
  Well done to all our feile teams. Each of the teams performed to the best of their ability and we can be very proud of them. There is a bright future for Clogh Handball with such enthusiastic and talented players. Well done to all the coaches, parents and supporters.

Ladies County Championship
Ladies County Singles final saw an all Clogh final between doubles partners Mary Phelan and Ciara Mahon. Winner on the day was Ciara Mahon in 3rd game.

U17 Doubles Champions
Mary Buggy and Ashling Maher won the all ireland u17 doubles title. They won the first game easily. however the mayo girls battled back and won the second game bringing the final to a tie break. The girls were level at 5 each in the tiebreak however the Clogh girls took command and won 11-7 GU17 Doubles: Kilkenny (Mary Buggy/Ashling Maher) dft Mayo (Shona Ruane/Clare Shannon) 21-9, 12-21, 11-7

Ciara and Mary are Minor Champions
Congratulations to Ciara Mahon and Mary Phelan who won the ladies Minor doubles Championship in Tuamgraney today. They played Martina McMahon/Louise O Riordan from Limerick. The girls were in great form and won the first game 21-12. The Limerick girls battled hard but Ciara and Mary were always in control and went on to win their Minor title(21-14). This is the first 40*20 minor title that has been won in the Clogh Handball club.

All our young girls took part in a competition with our neighboring club Cullahill on Saturday night. All girls played 3 matches. The standard of handball was good with all girls playing to the best of their ability. The future looks bright for girls handball. The competition ended level with 6 matches each

Well done to Ciaran and Sorcha who were narrowly defeated in the plate final at the Gael Linn finals in O'Loughlins on Sat.


Ciaran and Sorcha now go on to represent Leinster in the Gael Linn finals in O'Loughlins on Sat 21st Jan having beaten Laois 82-22 and Wexford 68-38



Ciaran Cooney and Sorcha Delaney were winners of County Gael Linn tournament beating Kilfane 58-29 in the final. They now go on to represent Kilkenny in Leinster.
