  • Intervasity Open Singles and Doubles Champion

     

    Well done to Ciara Mahon representing Trinity College who won the All Ireland open Intervarsity Singles Championship beating Aisling O'Keefe in the Final. Ciara teamed up with Lisa McKenna to win the Ladies Open Doubles Intervarsity Championship beating Aisling O'Keefe and Emma Doherty (DCU) in the final. This is a great achievement for for the girls as it is the second year in a row that they have won both the singles and doubles finals.

    Hard luck to the Kilkenny team of six who were beaten in the All Ireland final by Tipperary. the team made a great effort but was beaten by only 1 ace when all the scores were added.Kyle Dunne, Billy O'Neill, Jamie Maher, Jack Buggy, Eamonn Brennan represented Clogh on the team

  • All Ireland U16 Champion

     

    well done to Shane Dunne who won the All Ireland final beating Jerome Cahill, Tipperary

    Shane took the Boys U16 Singles title after a three game epic which came down to the last ace. He won the first game 20-15, James won the second game 16-21 and it was nip and tuck all the way in the tie break before Shane took it 11-10 to the crowds delight.

    This is another great victory for the girls and they can look forward to compeeting at the highest levels in the senior ranks next year

    U10 singles plate final tonight in Kilfane was an all Clogh final between Dominic Bolster and Luke Flanagan. It turned out to be a great final with Dominic winning in a tiebreak.

     Ciara mahon was beaten in the girls 19u final by Martina McMahon Limerick

     Jamie Maher and Jack doyle reached the final of the Boys u11 double nationals where they were beaten in the final by Mark Doyle and J Kavenagh wexford

     County u13b singles was an all Clogh final with Eamonn Brennan dft Thomas Brennan.

  • Ciara and Mary are All Ireland Intermediate Champions

     

     Congratulations to Mary Phelan and Ciara Mahon won won the All Ireland Intermediate Ladies final beating final beating  Mayo (Clodagh McManamon/Ciara McManamon). Mary and Ciara won the first game 21-7, however the Mayo girls made a great start to the second game and won the second game 21-9. In the third game the sides traded aces and were level at 5-5, however Mary and Ciara started to get the upper hand and powered on to a 21-9 victory. This was a great victory for the club. Ciara and Mary are the first senior players in the club since Peadar Hughes.

  • Amy wins Leinster Cumann na mBunscoile

     Amy Brennan won the Leinster Cuman na mBunscoile u11 competition in St Josephes Wexford. The competition was ran on a round robin basis. She won all of her matches beating, Laois, Kildare, and Wexford
