    Leinster junior interclub final was held tonight in Clogh between Clogh and Coolboy Wicklow. A great entertaining game but experience won on the night for Coolboy but this Clogh team will be around for a while. Score 95 to 79. Clogh team were Brian Mahon, Padraig Cooney, Andrew Hosey and Shane Dunne. Well done lads on reaching the Leinster final

    at Caslecomer Community School Sports & Academic awards, It was great seeing so many of our handballers been presented with their leinster and All Ireland colleges medals. Leinster medals Billy O Neill & Kyle Dunne first yr dbls in 60x30. Ciaran Cooney & Eoin Regan jun dbls in 60x30. Aidan Barry & Marc Purcell sen dbls in 60x30. Padraig Cooney & Shane Dunne int dbls in 60x30 & 40x20 and also All Ireland winners in both alleys. Special achievement awards were presented to Eilis Regan, Denise Love, Padraig Cooney & Shane Dunne for their sporting achievements this yr. Aidan Barry was one of the nominations for the Junior Sports award and Eilis Regan was nominated and won the Ladies Senior Sports award.

    County u11 B Singles saw an all Clogh final between Luke Flanagan and Dominic Bolster. The boys displayed some great handball skills and serving in the final with Luke defeating Dominic in the end. Congrats to Luke on winning the final and well done to Dominic on reaching the final.

    Ladies jrb doubles leinster final was an all Kilkenny affair with Denise Love and Kirsty Maher defeating Aishling Maher and Aoilean Hennessy in a third game. Well done all.

  • Shane and Padraig are All Ireland Intermediate Schools Champions

    Well done to Shane Dunne and Padraig Cooney representing Castlecomer C.S. who won the All Ireland Intermediate Schools Championship. They defeated Shane McVitty & Caolan Smith (St. Patrick’s College, Cavan) 15-1, 15-0.in the semifinal and defeated Patrick Murphy & Niall Joyce (St. Colman’s Claremorris) 15-7, 15-9 in the final. This was a teriffic achievement, as earlier this year (school year) they had won the 60*30 Intermediate doubles Championship

    Well done to Brian Mahon and JJ English(Goresbridge) who won the Leinster u21 doubles final beating Fergal Lawlor and Mark Dowling in an all Kilkenny final 

  • Amy and Kyle are All Ireland Gael Linn Champions

    Well done to Amy Brennan and Kyle Dunne who won the Gaell Linn All Ireland final today. This morning they beat both Ulster teams to reach the final. In the final they beat the Munster team from Clare to win the All Ireland Gaell Linn final. This is the first time that this title has been by players from Clogh Handball Club. This is the 25th anniversary of the Under 13 mixed double competition. 

  • Loren and Holly win Cumann na nBunscol Doubles Well done to Loren Power and Holly Byrne representing Firoda NS who won the u11 County Cumann na NBunscoil doubles . Moneenroe Ns was represented by Katie Brennan and Caoimhe Mooney.

    Well done to Amy Brennan representing Moneenroe NS whowon the County Cumann na Nbunscoil u11 final. In the final she beat Aisling Cooney representing Clogh NS.This final was a terific game with both players showing some great skills. Hard Luck also to Eva Brennan and Nicole Dowling representing Moneenroe NS who were beaten in the seni-final by 1 ace in the tie break in the girls u13 doubles

  • Amy and Kyle will represent Leinster at All Ireland Gael Linn final

    Well done to Amy Brennan and Kyle Dunne who won their Section of the Leinster Gael Linn competition and will now represent Leinster at the National Finals next weekend. Also Kilfanes Tom Holden and Roisin O Keeffe won their section . The All Ireland finals will consist of two pairs per province. Well done to all and best of luck in the All Ireland finals.

    Well done to Ciara Mahon on receiving the Leinster Female player of the year award. Ciara had a very successful year winning the Ladies Intermediate 40*20 doubles with Mary Phelan, the Ladies Intermediate 60*30 singles , the 60*30 intermediate Doubles with Mary Phelan, the Intervarsity 60*30 open singles and the Intervarsity 60*30 open doubles witb Lisa McKenna (Dublin)
